Our History
G. Horobin Memorial Masons was formed in 1972 by Gordon Horobin. Gordon became a bound apprentice with F. Garratt Monumental Masons in Derby in 1950. He worked there for six years where he gained his trade as a monumental mason. In 1956, he was called up to do National Serbive in the Army for two years and on his return continued in the trade.
He was joined in 1990 by his daughter Julie and later grandson Harvey in 2009. With a heritage going back to 1950's, Horobin's utilise the latest technology and finest materials and good old fashioned values to produce memorials of distinction.
